Specimen

Harvesting

All the steps we’re going to take when harvesting and collecting your specimen tree

Call for Underground Utility Location

Before we can dig around your specimen, we’re going to call the utility companies and confirm there are no utility lines running through the work area

Root Pruning (As Needed)

In order to prep the specimen for removal, first we must prune the surrounding roots (if necessary) to ensure the tree remains healthy after relocation.

Dig rootball and harvest specimen

Next, we shape the tree’s rootball and pull it out of the ground. Then the specimen is loaded onto a truck or trailer (depending on the size) and gets sent to our nursery

Backfill Hole and Plant New Tree

Finally, we backfill the hole with dirt and plant a brand-new tree of your choice
